About the exhibition
Expressive is a showcase of Anthony Gofer's most recent work, in which he experiments with new techniques and materials. The exhibition explores a visual language that oscillates between geometric and abstraction, using form, colour and line to convey a search for the hidden and the essential through composition.
About the artist
Anthony Gofer, born in Anna (Valencia) and resident in Ibiza since 1986, is a multifaceted and multidisciplinary artist. His work encompasses painting, sculpture, restoration, literature and collecting art and antique objects.
In painting, his themes include Ibizan landscapes and scenes, female figures and geometric compositions. In sculpture, he works with materials such as wood, stone, clay, methacrylate and aluminium. His career also includes collage works, restoration of religious images and antique pieces, as well as literary creation in poetry and stories.
Since 2019, he has been developing an intense artistic activity, participating in more than 50 solo and group exhibitions in the Balearic Islands and the peninsula.
