Chromatic Instinct

Exhibition info
Chromatic Instinct is an exhibition that brings together a series of paintings by Gian Carlos, a Cuban artist based in Madrid, which explore the wild nature – from the animal world to the strength of trees and floral vitality – from a vibrant, expressive, and deeply sensory perspective. Through the use of acrylic on canvas and a palette of intense colours, each work proposes an emotional reinterpretation of natural creatures and elements as symbols of energy, inner strength, and freedom.
These pieces do not aim for realism, but for an instinctive connection between the viewer and the spirit of what is represented. The energetic brushstrokes, textures, and chromatic contrasts generate a lively atmosphere, where fauna and flora become an emotional mirror.
The works can be seen as part of a personal imaginary where each animal, each flower and each tree embodies a force, a mood or an inner drive. This collection thus becomes a visual journey through the territories of colour, emotion and identity.
