The exhibition explores how certain images and characters transcend their original condition to become symbols shared by society. Through concepts such as identity, myth, and popular iconography, the exhibition proposes a journey through the construction of collective references associated with power, religion, desire, memory, and contemporary culture.
The works invite reflection on the process by which certain figures become part of the common imagination, transforming into authentic icons of our time.

Artist biography
Pedro Oliva (La Puebla del Río, Seville, 1979) develops his artistic practice through collage. His work is characterised by assembling cut-outs from old magazines, pop culture icons and historical elements, creating compositions that combine precision and visual chaos. His technique involves working on canvas, using fragments of paper to construct images that invite exploration of alternative realities. This methodology is not only a form of expression but also a reflection on the saturation of images in the contemporary world. From his origins in Seville to his reach in America, Pedro Oliva has consolidated his own visual language that transcends cultural borders. His work is presented as an act of memory and resignification, seeking order and beauty in the apparent disorder of visual excess. Each collage is a visual constellation that challenges the logic of immediacy, offering the viewer an experience charged with criticism, irony, and emotion.
