Ibiza doesn't start in summer. The island starts earlier, with the arrival of spring. This is when everything starts up again: the venues reopen, the teams return and the atmosphere gradually changes.
The calm of winter continues, but with a different energy. There is movement, there is intention and it is beginning to be felt that the season is starting.

The moment Ibiza wakes up

Easter marks the real start of the season. Some beach clubs and restaurants start opening in mid-April, and little by little the first travellers arrive.
It is at this time that an interesting mix of locals and visitors takes place. There is no mass tourism, but a more balanced atmosphere where everything flows naturally: recommendations, conversations and discoveries.
Ibiza is once again functioning as a community

Reopenings: the island re-opens

From April onwards, the shutters start to go up. Restaurants, shops and small businesses are back in business after the winter.
In Dalt Vila, this process is very clear. The old quarter is recovering its rhythm with progressive reopenings:
La Oliva: reopens at the start of the season, activating the square
La Dispensa: one of the first to reopen in the old quarter
El Olivo Mio: a quiet option for first dinners
In addition, local shops and galleries are bringing the neighbourhood back to life. Not everything is open yet, but what is open is doing so with energy.

The big clubs concentrate their openings between the end of April and May, consolidating this period as the real start of the season.

During these first weeks, the atmosphere is different: less saturation, better organisation and an audience more focused on the music.

Beach clubs and chiringuitos: the first to open

Before the peak of summer starts, many beach clubs are already operational since April.
