Restaurant in Seville
Cuisine with memory, soul and present
At Ducal we don't cook to surprise, we cook to remember.
Our gastronomic proposal is born from the Sevillian roots, the local produce, the honest flavour, the recipe that smells of home, reinterpreted with a modern perspective. Here the protagonist is the local product, treated with respect and served with affection, because we believe that the best cooking needs no artifice: it just needs truth. No pretensions whatsoever. Just flavour, proximity and a friendly smile on the other side of the table. Because eating at Ducal is not just about eating, it is about recognising oneself in a dish, returning to a memory, feeling at home. even if it's the first time you walk through our door.
The restaurant that Seville should not have lost
On 20 March 1959, the Hotel Ducal opened its doors as the first hotel opened in Seville after the Civil War.
For more than fifty years it was the silent heart of the La Encarnación neighbourhood: the place where the bride and groom who came from the villages to get married stayed, where the priests rested on their way to the convent of the Little Sisters of the Cross, where the city recognised itself in every corridor and in every reception conversation. Only two directors, Eusebio and Iñigo Moreno, sustained its spirit for half a century, imprinting on it a vocation for service that went far beyond the hotel trade. It closed on 15 November 2010, leaving a void that the neighbourhood never ended up filling. Today, after more than a decade, Ducal is back., It is no longer a hotel, but a restaurant, to remain exactly what it has always been: a place where Seville meets Seville, where the grandparents who used to sleep here now bring their children and grandchildren to share a table, and where the history of the neighbourhood continues to be written dish by dish.
