Job description:
- Prepare, cook and present dishes from the à la carte menu, following established recipes and the hotel's quality standards.
- To ensure the correct handling and preservation of foodstuffs, complying with health and hygiene regulations (HACCP).
- Control and organise the products and ingredients needed before, during and after the service.
- Supervise the correct use of machinery, utensils and kitchen equipment.
- Collaborate in the creation and improvement of gastronomic proposals together with the Executive Chef.
- Maintain the order, cleanliness and organisation of their departure and work areas.
- Coordinate with the rest of the kitchen and dining room team to ensure a smooth and professional service.
Your skills should be:
- Training in Cookery (Intermediate/Higher Level Training Cycle or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years of demonstrable experience in professional kitchens, preferably in 4 or 5 star hotels or high class restaurants.
- Knowledge of contemporary culinary techniques and Mediterranean/international cuisine.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a team.
- Attention to detail and high standards in presentation and taste.
- Availability to work in rotating shifts.
