Calcarina invites us to delve into a universe where color is the absolute protagonist, a sensory journey that explores the deepest corners of our visual and emotional perception. Inspired by the calcarine fissure, the brain area where all visual information is processed for the first time, this exhibition presents a series of abstract paintings that aim to connect directly with the essence of seeing, feeling, and dreaming.
In this exhibition, color takes us into a world where the boundaries between reality and imagination disappear. The works remind us of places that exist only within each viewer. There are no defined forms, only the vibrant interaction of colors that evoke memories, desires, and dreams.
This chromatic journey is a reminder that art is not only seen but also lived and felt.
Artist Bio:
I was born in Seville in 1999, the son of a Sevillian father and a French mother. I began studying communication and advertising in Paris, as it was crucial for me to understand the mechanisms of conveying a message to society. Although I was interested in advertising, I felt it didn’t fully allow me to express my creativity.
After completing my studies in advertising, I decided to begin my Fine Arts studies in Seville, where I could further develop my creativity. Over the years, I have explored various artistic disciplines without limiting myself to one in particular. I have worked with glass, bronze, mural painting, printmaking, and many other techniques, always inspired by nature and the emotions that make us human.
Currently, I feel comfortable in the three fundamental artistic disciplines, without needing to define myself by just one. My goal is to awaken feelings and sensations that go beyond the visual, creating a unique emotional connection for each person.
