About the author:
The work of Kike Besada (Vigo.1984) is characterised by the use of found materials, often of a single use, manipulated and brought to a new context through an abstract optic with a special emphasis on the compositions provided by chance.
Mistakes or exercises during the creative process often determine the outcome and provide ample space for improvisation, where the rational and calculated can coexist with the intuitive.
Throughout its development, the work is in constant change until the final assembly.
The dialogue with the canvas is constant - manipulating, rearranging, choosing and adjusting the elements encountered. The process is as important as the final result.
