Measuring 25 km long and around 700 m deep, the Verdon Gorge or Verdon Grand Canyon is known to be one of the most beautiful gorges in Europe. The stunning turquoise colour of the river is what gave this exceptional place its name, Verdon. In the canyon, it is possible to go kayaking or climbing the limestone walls.
